Experience in Support Services

Our History

MPC Logo Mississippi Community Partnership, Inc (MCP), is a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization that was founded to provide direction to the twelve (12) key community stakeholders who impact the lives of our youths and communities through the implementation of substance use prevention programs and community development services for at-risk youth and families throughout the State of Mississippi. Through our partnership with the twelve (12) community sector members we embody our theme of “Encompassing Communities Through Empowerment”. Our goal is to provide services through collaboration and partnering with diverse community organizations via technical assistance, direct and indirect assistance to form a cooperative spirit. Thus, these neighboring cooperative agreements can effectively bring about community changes that are instrumental in making a meaningful and significant impact throughout the State of Mississippi.

MCP provides technical assistance training, such as building a coalition, strategic planning, financial management, evaluation, community needs assessment, implementing science-based ATOD (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) programs, and other services relevant to establishing a strong community foundation. The goal of the foundation is to provide a solid base for the Faith-based community and other youth-serving coalition members to build upon through the provision of sub-grantee awards, thereby allowing for the perpetuation of services it provides to the community once that guided hand has taken a secondary role.
